The Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition (GLBVC) teaches flag etiquette to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in local schools in the following school systems:
Our class will teach students the following.
Art Contest
In addition to the class, the GLBVC, in partnership with IFF and Pizza Sam’s, hosts an art contest. All students in the classes we teach are eligible to participate. We will choose one drawing from each session to receive a gift certificate to Pizza Sam’s

Important Dates
We would like to have all the dates confirmed as soon as possible so that we can set up the schedule for our volunteers.
Class Dates
We host classes once per month on the third Friday during the school year. Tentative dates are listed below.
Time
Each class takes about 45 minutes, and we will teach three sessions max. Our group will arrive at 8:40 AM and set up and would like to have classes starting at:
Once the presentation is complete, we ask that the teachers assist in dividing the students up into groups of six for the hands-on session.
Volunteer Opportunities
We try to host each class with a minimum of six, but we can use as many as ten volunteers. We would encourage anyone from the following groups to join us:
